The 4270 and 4272 are Amsler's Integrators with two recording mechanisms. Refer to page 309 of the 1901 catalog for a good description of the instrument.
There were two variations of the basic 4270. The 4272 was a 4270 made in brass.
The following models are part of the 4270 family:
- 4270 ------ Amsler's Integrator with two recording mechanisms
- 4272 ------ Amsler's Integrator with two recording mechanisms in brass
- 62 0125 --- Amsler's Integrator with two recording mechanisms.(modern construction)
History:
Of the catalogs available the 4270 group of Amsler's Integrators first appeared in the 1901 catalog.
The 1943 and 1944 War edition catalogs did not show the 4270 group. The 4270 group returned to the catalogs in 1949.

- 1943 -- Not shown in the 1943 catalog.
- 1944 -- Not shown in the 1944 catalog.
- 1949 -- Returned to catalogs. The 4272 was no longer listed.
- 1954 -- The construction of the frame was modernized.
- 1962 -- Converted to model number 62 0125. Of the catalogs available, the 62 0125 was last shown in the 1962 catalog.
