Collection of pages from K&E catalogs for the 4246 Pantograph Polar Planimeters
The 4246 is a Pantograph Polar Planimeter with adjustable tracer and pole arms. Refer to page 323 of the 1927 catalog for a good description of the instrument. This instrument is unique in that it is a combination of a planimeter and a pantograph effectively having two ranges when used as a planimeter. One tracing point is idealized for large objects while the other can be used for smaller circles. Replacing one of the points with a pencil point makes the instrument a pantograph.
The following models are part of the 4246 family:
- 4246 ------ Polar Planimeter with adjustable tracer and pole arms.
Of the catalogs available the 4246 Pantograph Polar Planimeter first appeared in the 1903 catalog.
