The 4143 is a late version of the 4100 Stadia Slide Rule. Like the 4100 the 4143 is a 10" Mannheim style slide rule with specialized scales. The rule is constructed out of plastic and the scales are molded. The Kissam Stadia rule replaced the 4100 some time between 1960 and 1962. The slide rule first shows in the catalogs available in 1962 as a 68 1486. The 4143 model number is valid as actual samples exist.

The scale set for the rules is as follows:

Note: The top scale on the slide is divided into 3 scales. (V1 H V3)
History:
The 4143 is not shown in the 1959 price list. The first catalog listing is in the 1962 as a 68 1486. Actual samples of the 4143 exist indicating that it was first produced between 1959 and 1962. The Kissam Stadia Slide Rule last appeared in the 1972 catalog.
