This volume includes instructions for the 4041 and the 4053. This particular specimen shows the 4041 and 4053-3 with all glass cursors. Both of these rules where were produced after 1913. Regardless of the copyright dates this volume was printed after 1913. This edition also includes a supplement on trig functions that is not found in the earlier edition.

It is stated that these instructions are for slide rules numbers 4031 to 4056 and 4096. It should be noted that the 4096 that is referred to was an all metal 10" Mannheim type rule.
